CommunityForward has been a partner with UT Austin and our Veteran and Military Affiliated Services Office for several years now. Their unique partnership not only provides scholarship awards to veteran students, but CommunityForward seeks to understand the challenges our veteran and military student face and how they can work collaboratively to provide opportunity for support and advancement.

Shepherd’s Table values the partnership we have with CommunityForward. Not only has your team served as a group, but members have come on their own and brought others with them – what a great way to expand a good deed. Sponsoring the meal through our Bright Meal program has been a great benefit to us and our meal guests. We look forward to seeing CommunityForward again in the future helping us serve our neighbors in need!

Interfaith Works Women’s Center and Interfaith Works Emergency Shelter at Coffield are two 24/7 emergency shelters for adult women, between the two facilities we can serve up to 100 women. Our programs greatly need volunteers in order to effectively provide to our clients. CommunityForward greatly helped both of our programs by providing healthy, filling lunch to both of the facilities each month. CommunityForward has made a huge difference in our clients lives by helping feed them and taking away a fear of wondering when someone’s next meal may be. Thank you CommunityForward!

CommunityForward’s partnership with the University of Maryland SAFE Center for Human Trafficking Survivors has provided a variety of support to our clients over the past several years. CommunityForward seeks to understand the needs of our survivors and our organization, then engages to make a difference.

CommunityForward has supported the Pillars of Strength scholarship with University of Maryland Global Campus for several years now. This scholarship makes a tremendous impact for our caregivers of wounded warriors, their families and our veterans. Our relationship with CommunityForward goes beyond this specific need and identifies activities that engage, support and make a difference in the lives of our military and veteran families.

CommunityForward’s support of Suburban Hospital during the COVID pandemic has made an impact in our communities. Our ability to support access and education in our under-served populations is an important aspect of the work we’re doing and committed to do in the future.

CommunityForward partnered with BDesh Foundation right at the start of the COVID-19 outbreak. With their help, we were able to increase our efforts to provide meals and aid the homeless on the streets of Washington, DC, and the surrounding metro areas. As a result of CommunityForward’s support, BDesh Foundation is one more step closer to providing more food security to those in need.

As the first HBCU in Maryland, Bowie State University greatly values their continued collaboration with TISTA Science and Technology Corporation's Equity, Equality, and Inclusion (TISTA’s EEI) Affinity Group. Through TISTA’s EEI’s RISE Scholarship, our Bowie State awardees have had the opportunity to continue their pursuit of higher education in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) as well as a chance to explore internships that go beyond the classroom. We welcome the opportunity to expand our relationship with TISTA’s EEI to include CommunityForward as a success model for our Bowie State students.
